About the Opportunities:

John Paul International College (JPIC) is seeking enthusiastic and dynamic casual Study Tour Teachers & Casual Teachers to join our teaching team from term two 2025.

We have several exciting opportunities available:

  1. Study Tour Teachers – Deliver engaging edu-tourism programs to international students.
  2. Academic Casual Teachers – Provide high-quality English language instruction to non-English speaking students at John Paul International College (JPIC).

With a strong reputation for excellence, we take pride in delivering world-class English language and cultural immersion programs to international students aged 11-17 years old.

The key responsibilities of these roles include:

Study Tour Teachers

Our Study Tour Teachers lead structured and interactive programs showcasing the best of Southeast Queensland, both in-class and on excursions.

Key Duties include:

  • Hosting and supervising international study tour groups.
  • Delivering engaging, structured educational activities and lessons on-campus and off-campus.
  • Providing pastoral care and support to ensure student well-being.
  • Assisting students in adapting to homestay living and the Australian education system.

Collaborating with fellow educators and College staff to enhance program delivery.

Academic Casual Teachers

Academic Casual Teachers provide quality English language instruction across various programs, including High School Preparation, Primary Preparation, General English, and English for Academic Purposes.

Key duties include:

  • Delivering casual teaching opportunities at JPIC.
  • Teaching English across various JPIC programs, including High School and Primary Preparation.
  • Developing and adapting course materials to support student learning.
  • Assessing student progress through diagnostic and proficiency testing.
  • Supervising students during excursions and extra-curricular activities.
  • Maintaining accurate records of attendance, progress, and assessments.

About You:

We are looking for Study Tour Teachers who:

Hold a current Paid Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
Hold a current First Aid Certificate.
Have teaching experience or experience in a similar role.
Can quickly build rapport with international students.
Are empathetic toward students learning English as an additional language.
Are flexible, energetic, and adaptable in different learning environments.
Can create and tailor resources to meet student needs.
Are excited to lead study tour groups on campus and across Southeast Queensland.

We are looking for JPIC Academic Casual Teachers who:

Hold a current QCT Registration.
Hold a current First Aid Certificate.
Have teaching experience in a similar role.
Can quickly build rapport with international students.
Are empathetic toward students learning English as an additional language.
Are flexible, energetic, and adaptable in different learning environments.
Can create and tailor resources to meet student needs.
Are willing to support students in High School Preparation, including lesson planning, curriculum delivery, and assessments.
