Job Description

About the Role:

We are currently seeking applications for role of Educator for our Early Learning Centre.

Ideally candidates will be available to work full time hours (38 hours per week) Monday to Friday as they will be directly involved with nurturing the positive relationships of our special families, while communicating with other staff, students in a timely and respectful manner.

 Responsibilities of our ELC team include

  • Assisting with the development and delivery of a high-quality, inclusive, educational program.
  • Providing children with a safe, secure, welcoming, and nurturing environment.
  • Working collaboratively within a team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families.
  • Participating in professional and personal development. And,
  • Promoting the College within the local community in accordance with the vision, mission, and values.

Desired Skills and Experience

About you:

Applicants for these roles should hold either a Certificate 3 in Children’s Services or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care and will be able to demonstrate the high-quality interpersonal skills required to administer exemplary administration practices and support.

Knowledge, experience, and practical skills in a similar role will be beneficial to ensure our ongoing compliance with all service policies and procedures in accordance with the Education and Care Services National Law and National Regulations.

You could be a current room leader, or just starting your Early Childhood education career. If you have a passion for the education of children and want to work in an inclusive and fun team environment – this is the job for you!

Ideally candidates will have:

  • Previous experience working in the Early Childhood industry.
  • An understanding of the Reggio Emilia philosophy and how this is implemented in the ELC environment.
  • Commitment to and understanding of implementing the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards.
  • Passion, enthusiasm, and why they love to work with children.
  • Professional development intentions for their own professional growth.

In accordance with current Government requirements, successful applicants must be able to undertake employment screening for child-related employment which include maintaining a positive blue card whilst employed at the College.
