We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Head of Boarding to lead our residential program with strategic vision, operational excellence, and a deep commitment to student wellbeing.
This is a full-time, 5-year contract role, commencing January 2026, with on-campus accommodation provided in support of the unique demands of residential life.

About the Role
Reporting to the Director of International and Accommodation Operations, the Head of Boarding oversees the full scope of boarding operations at JPC. From leading a dedicated team to championing student wellbeing and ensuring compliance, this role is pivotal in delivering a safe, enriching, and values-aligned boarding experience.
You’ll work collaboratively across the College and be a key driver in the implementation of the Accommodation Strategy alongside the Homestay Manager and Accommodation Leadership Team.
The Key responsibilities of this role will include.
Strategic and operational leadership of the Boarding Village
Supervision and professional development of boarding staff
Student care and wellbeing, with a strong emphasis on engagement and belonging
Oversight of compliance, risk, and residential care standards (CRICOS, ABSA, etc.)
Financial management and continuous improvement of boarding operations
Building strong relationships with students, families, and external stakeholders
Promoting the College and Boarding Village to prospective families
Please note: This is a 5-year contract position, commencing January 2026, with residential accommodation provided on campus.
Employment is subject to child safety screening and eligibility for a Blue Card.
Desired Skills and Experience
About You:
You’re an experienced, values-led leader with a proven ability to create positive, high-functioning residential environments. You understand the complexities of boarding life and have the resilience, professionalism, and pastoral heart needed to support diverse student needs.
Experience in a senior residential/boarding leadership role
Strong operational, compliance, and student wellbeing capabilities
Completion of ABSA training (or willingness to obtain)
Current First Aid and Working with Children Check (or eligibility to obtain)
Excellent communication and crisis management skills
A collaborative and proactive leadership approach
Teaching registration is desirable but not essential.
