About the Opportunity:

Join John Paul College's Property Services team as a Grounds Officer and help maintain our stunning campus in Daisy Hill. This is a permanent, full-time position perfect for someone who enjoys outdoor work and being part of a vibrant school community.

Working directly under our Grounds Manager, you'll play a vital role in keeping our campus beautiful while supporting college events and daily operations.

What You’ll Do:

Regular duties of this role will include:

Grounds Maintenance:

• Maintain gardens, lawns and landscaped areas (mowing, weeding, fertilizing)
• Pruning, hedging and general garden bed maintenance
• Campus cleaning and rubbish removal
• Open and secure gates across campus

Project & Event Support:

• Assist with landscaping and improvement projects
• Help set up and pack down for college events
• Provide support to students, staff, visitors and contractors
• Respond to general campus enquiries

Equipment & Safety:

• Operate and maintain grounds equipment
• Follow health and safety procedures
• Report equipment issues and maintenance needs

What We’re Looking For:

Essential Requirements:

• Current Blue Card or Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain)
• Full Australian driver's license
• Friendly, approachable personality
• Good communication skills

Highly Regarded:

• Experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance
• Basic repair and maintenance skills
• Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
