About us
We’re the Risk & Compliance team at John Paul College and we are currently looking for a Risk and Compliance Officer to join us in 2026.
Here's what you should know about us:
- We take our work seriously and genuinely enjoy our great team environment. This helps us thrive in what we do.
- We believe compliance should be accessible, approachable, and support staff to do their best work with confidence.
About the role
We’re looking for someone to bring fresh energy to what we're building here at JPC.
This isn't a role where you'll be stuck in a corner reviewing documents all day, though ensuring our policies remain fit-for-purpose is an important part of this role. You will be out and about across campus, working with everyone from teachers to contractors to senior leaders. You'll help people navigate the sometimes-complex world of risk and compliance in a way that builds trust and confidence.
You'll be involved in Working with Children compliance, document and records management, regulatory monitoring, and helping embed a positive risk and compliance culture across the College. The work matters, and it keeps our community safe and our operations strong.
About you
You don't need to be a school risk and compliance expert on day one, but you do need to be genuinely interested in people and how things work.
You are detail-oriented without losing sight of the bigger picture, comfortable having conversations across all levels, and someone who can bring energy and ideas to a small team doing meaningful work.
A qualification or experience in compliance, risk, business, law or a related field is essential.
Experience in schools or regulated environments is a bonus, but attitude and approach matter to us just as much.
The details
This is a permanent, year-round position (52 weeks) offered on a full-time basis, but we're open to part-time for the right person who may be looking for flexibility at this stage in their career. We're happy to consider reasonable options for working hours, however, working from campus is a must as we pride ourselves on being accessible when needed.
During school holidays, we are flexible with when you work your hours, and if you've got children, they can access our OSHC for free while you're on campus.
The full Position Description is available here.
Beyond joining a team that genuinely enjoys working together, you'll also have access to 12.75% superannuation, salary packaging up to $15,900 per annum, free OSHC for your children, discounted tuition fees, an onsite café and canteen, free access to the College gym, corporate discounts with Medibank and Commonwealth Bank, and an excellent coffee machine.
How to apply
If this sounds like your kind of role, and we sound like your kind of people, we'd love to hear from you!
Click "Apply" to submit your application.
Applications should include a cover letter addressed to Mrs Fiona Arman, Risk & Compliance Manager, telling us why this role appeals to you and what you'd bring to the team. Don't forget to include your current resume and contact details for at least two professional referees.
We're keen to find the right person, so we may interview and appoint before the closing date. If this sounds like you, don't wait.
John Paul College is an equal opportunity employer. All applications will be treated confidentially. Only candidates selected for interview will be contacted.
