About the Opportunity

John Paul College invites applications from dedicated and innovative educators for two exciting opportunities commencing Term Three, 2026 within our Secondary School.

Candidates interested in applying for these roles should have a specialty in the delivery of curriculum in the following areas:

  • Economics
  • Physics

These positions have arisen in direct response to strong and growing student enrolment in these subject areas, reflecting our commitment to meeting demand with exceptional teaching talent.

About You

As a Secondary Teacher at John Paul College, you will be instrumental in shaping the skills and knowledge of our students through innovative teaching and thoughtful curriculum delivery

The successful candidates will:

  • Support and embody the College Ethos, recognising each student’s individual potential and fostering their development.
  • Create inclusive, dynamic learning environments that inspire student engagement and achievement.
  • Communicate effectively and foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Participate actively in the broader life of the College by attending staff meetings, curriculum development sessions, extracurricular activities, school camps, and community events.

Candidates will require:

  • A commitment to the vision and values of John Paul College.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Sound organisational and classroom management skills, with a focus on safety and student well-being in practical settings.
  • Current Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration
  • A dedication to continuous professional development to remain at the forefront of educational practices in Industrial and Design Technology.
