John Paul College invites exceptional educators and leaders to apply for the position of Dean of Academic Welfare – Primary School, commencing in January 2026.
As a key member of the Primary Leadership Team, the Dean of Academic Welfare plays a vital role in leading a proactive, whole-school approach to student wellbeing, behaviour, and pastoral care.
This position focuses on building teacher capacity, embedding restorative practices, and fostering a culture of care and consistency that enables every student to thrive.
The Dean of Academic Welfare leads with compassion, strategic clarity, and a steadfast commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment for all students.

Employment Details
- This engagement is Award Free
- This is a maximum-term full-time appointment for five (5) years with the potential for an additional five (5) at the discretion of the Principal
- The position includes six (6) weeks annual leave / annum
